A different kind of economics course

Built for high-school students who want to understand the world — and be equipped to shape it.

Christian Worldview

Biblical concepts guide students through every economic principle. We let Scripture shape the questions — and the answers.

16-Week Hybrid Format

Online videos, a printed workbook, and weekly group discussions. About 45 minutes a day — designed for homeschool and co-op rhythms.

Honors-Level Rigor

Built around two college-level texts: Common Sense Economics and Money, Greed, and God. Meets all 20 Voluntary National Standards.

Real-World Application

Students learn to decipher headlines, think critically about policy, and apply economic wisdom to their own communities.

A glimpse at the journey

Sixteen weeks. Eighty lessons. A unified arc from foundations to flourishing.

Foundations

Why economics begins with God and ends with neighbor. Profit and loss, self-interest, talents, and stewardship.

Markets & Exchange

The price system, voluntary exchange, and how markets coordinate billions of everyday decisions.

Government & Policy

How governments shape prosperity — or undermine it. The rule of law, incentives, and unintended consequences.

Mission & Flourishing

Why nations flourish or stay in poverty. Economics as stewardship — equipped to serve family, church, and community.

From start to finish, the Oikonomia curriculum showed itself to be well-crafted and engaging. It’s not often that, as a student, I would willingly choose to write in-depth answers to questions in a textbook, but this time I honestly enjoyed being drawn in.

The reading material was excellent — quickly and smoothly joining economic principles with their real-world impacts. Everything it conveyed seemed not only simple and logical, but also profoundly connected to God’s plan for us and the rest of mankind.
